What does platelet-rich plasma do?

Your blood carries platelets, and platelets carry the growth factors the body uses to repair tissue. A small sample is drawn and spun in a centrifuge, which separates out a concentrate far richer in platelets than ordinary blood. That concentrate is injected back into the skin.

Placed in the skin, those growth factors put the tissue into a repair state. Collagen production picks up, and over the following months texture and tone change with it. Nothing is added that was not already yours.

This is a course rather than a single appointment. Most people are booked for three to six sessions, four to six weeks apart, and the change accumulates across them.

What areas can it treat?

Platelet-rich plasma is used where the concern is skin quality rather than volume: texture, tone, fine lines, pigmentation, and the crepiness that shows first on thin skin. It is often combined with microneedling, which gives the concentrate a route into the skin across a wider area.

Platelet-rich plasma for hair restoration follows a different protocol and is treated as its own service. Every course begins with a medical consultation to confirm the treatment is appropriate for you.
