What causes dark spots?

Dark spots form where the skin makes extra pigment. Sun exposure, hormonal changes and inflammation, such as after a breakout, are common triggers.

Melasma is the patchy brown pigment often seen on the cheeks, forehead and upper lip. It is linked to hormones and sun, so daily sun protection is part of every plan.

How does the peel and laser plan work?

  • Chemical peels: lift pigmented cells from the surface of the skin.
  • Pico Genesis laser: ultra-short pulses break up pigment deeper down, which your body then clears naturally.
