The Science
The Profound Laser procedure uses radiofrequency energy that is delivered when the skin is punctured using a micro-needling method to the deepest dermis layers. Profound liberates energy directly to the targeted skin layers, unlike other non-surgical skin-tightening treatments, guaranteeing prime results. Radiofrequency heat energy triggers the “thermocollagenesis” effect, where the body reaches a certain temperature point to stimulate collagen production. Profound can be used to treat delicate areas around the face and jawline, and can even be used to tighten and tone the buttocks.
What to Expect
A Profound radiofrequency treatment takes about an hour to administer, depending on the area being treated.
