Laser & IPL Treatments

Tattoo removal treatment

Lasers are the safest and most effective way to remove tattoos. This advanced laser’s energy is delivered in nanosecond bursts (billionths of a second), making it very effective at breaking up tattoo ink. In slower lasers (millionths of a second) energy can create heat in the surrounding tissue, burning or scarring the tissue. Some of the black ink can also become trapped in the tissue leaving lasting marks. Most treatments only take minutes, but multiple sessions are required at a minimum of six to eight week intervals to allow for complete pigment residue absorption by the body. The number of laser tattoo removal sessions needed usually varies from four to 15 treatments depending on the depth and concentration of the tattoo ink. After each session, most tattoo inks will fade gradually over a period of approximately six to eight weeks.

Microlaser peel

The treatment removes a thin layer of damaged skin to improve texture and provide a more youthful appearance. It provides superior results because it can be administered with great precision of depth. The procedure is performed in our office and can be custom tailored to your specific skin conditions and desired outcome. Most skin areas can be treated. Popular treatment areas are the face and neck, though some people also treat the chest and hands. The following conditions can be treated with MicroLaserPeel:

  • Mild wrinkles
  • Scars
  • Keratosis
  • Sun damage (e.g., freckles)
  • Pigment irregularities

Pixel Skin Resurfacing (Fractional Laser)

Ideal Body Clinic offers various medical treatments by using Alma Harmony®, which is an expandable platform for aesthetic laser and light treatments.
The Alma laser pixel is based on a new innovative technology that centers the laser beam and disperses it equally for upgrading cosmetic treatments and preventing local burns. It has proven to be effective for the treatment of wrinkles, skin rejuvenation and skin resurfacing and requires minimal downtime for the patient. Fractional laser delivers results in approximately 3 to 5 days. Unlike traditional ablative lasers, used only on the face, the Alma laser pixel is targeted at treatments on the face, neck, chest, arms and hands.
The fractional rejuvenation procedure performed exclusively by PIXEL® laser technology from Alma Lasers®, lifts away years from your face and stimulates new collagen to grow. It improves your skin’s texture and tone to fight fine lines, wrinkles, and even acne scars.
Benefits:

  • Clears sun-damaged skin
  • Smoothes fine lines and wrinkles
  • Shrinks the appearance of pores
  • Fills in acne scars
  • Blends uneven pigmentation

PIXEL works by creating thousands of microscopic perforations, but the skin around each of these perforations remains intact. This allows your skin’s top layer to heal from the edge of these tiny holes very rapidly, which significantly improves your complexion. In more detail, the PIXEL® laser light passes through patented optics to penetrate the skin with tiny thermal channels, only as deep as a few sheets of paper. In each channel it creates a micro-injury, without disturbing the surrounding tissue.
These micro-injury sites (about 15-20 percent of the treatment area) start the process of healing. As collagen remodels, skin tightens and scars improve. The intact, undamaged skin around the treatment site is what promotes quicker healing for a faster recovery.

Sublative laser

Sublative rejuvenation is a new kind of safe and effective cosmetic technology that works on virtually all skin tones. It is neither laser- nor light-based. Instead, it harnesses the power of fractionated bi-polar radiofrequency (also known as gentle energy currents) to deeply penetrate the skin and stimulate collagen production beneath the surface while keeping the outer layer of skin intact.
Sublative produces the same kind of results as aggressive procedures without the pain, downtime, side effects or cost. There is no visible injury to the skin’s outer layers. Focused energy currents are applied to the skin in a matrix, bypassing upper layers of the skin and stimulating the natural production of collagen at the source. This “resets” the body’s regenerative process, which is why results continue to improve over time.
Gentle heat is delivered at the underlying connective tissue where the skin joins the muscle—the same layer that is tightened during a conventional facelift. This tissue is gently heated, causing it to contract and eventually lift. As a result, formerly loose skin appears subtly tightened.

Ablative laser resurfacing

With advances in laser technology, it is now possible to significantly improve aged or sun-damaged skin. Ablative laser skin resurfacing is one of the most effective cosmetic procedures for improving aging skin.
The procedure works by delivering an intense wavelength of light to the skin, which removes the outer layers of aged or sun damaged skin. In addition, the laser stimulates the underlying skin, resulting in collagen formation and an improvement in wrinkles. As the lasered skin heals following the procedure, new skin forms that is smoother and tighter.
Ablative lasers are used to treat:

  • Fine to moderate wrinkles
  • Liver spots or age spots
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Acne or chickenpox scars

It is important to note that laser resurfacing cannot remove deep wrinkles or excessive or sagging skin. In addition, the effects aren’t permanent because as you age, you continue to develop wrinkles. Repeated treatments may be necessary.
